CAMPS provides schools with a means where by the parents of their students / pupils can be able to fund their wards individual cards (Canteen Card) online via a mobile app (CampsPay app), then their wards can be able to use these cards to purchase items in the school canteen without wielding cash around the school. The solution is made up of a card and three apps as summarized below;
Parent application serving as a means to fund students cards.
Setting of Daily spending limit for kids by their parents to restrict over spending of funds.
A portable mobile device with an App used for scanning the QR Card for debiting purpose.
A Web Platform that can be used to see the reports of all funding and spending activities.
Unlike your normal debit card the CanteenPay card was designed as a (QR card) quick response debit card. this means you don't need to worry about lack of service connection from third party service providers or card chips, thereby increasing immensely the speed in debiting cards.
Cards can be reprinted and the lost ones deactivated at any time with ease, a temporary lost card can be deactivated and can also be reactivated if found by the student or the pupil later on.
Records of fundings by parents and expenditure by students / pupils can be seen via the portal and report printed if needed, thereby enabling the school to see how students spend their money on daily basis.
With this solution, parents don't need to be giving thier wards cash to school, students / pupils would only have their QR cards for any purchase in the school, thereby reducing or eradicating stealing of money or loss of money, students can report and have their card deactivated in case of lost of card.
With this solution, parents can specify the maximum amount of money their wards should be using to purchase things in the school canteen on daily basis and once the limit is reached, card debitting stops for the day.
With this solution, parents of children in boarding schools most especially can confidently fund their wards cards with any amount of money without the fear of them losing the money or over spending it more than they ought to.
